Conflict Minerals

Responsible Procurement of Minerals (Conflict Minerals)

We consider addressing conflict minerals (3TG *1) that are illegally mined or extracted and contribute to human rights abuses and labor issues is a corporate social responsibility. We have a policy to eliminate the use of raw materials containing these minerals, as well as components and parts that incorporate them. In accordance with this policy, and referencing the OECD’s *2 “Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas”, we conduct investigations regarding conflict minerals using the CMRT. *3

*1 3TG: Tantalum, Tin, Tungsten and Gold
*2 OECD: Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
*3 CMRT: Conflict Minerals Reporting Template. A survey format for reporting on conflict minerals provided by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI), which establishes international guidelines on conflict minerals.
