Tokyo Electron is one of the world’s leading semiconductor production equipment manufacturers. Yokohama, Japan-based Tokyo Electron Device (TED) is a subsidiary of Tokyo Electron and was founded in 1986. TED functions as an Electronic Components Distributor, System Integrator, and Value Added Reseller with a robust business in Networking and Security, Storage, and Middleware products. As of the 2008 fiscal year (ending March 2009), TED has over 800 employees and 94 Billion Yen in Revenue.
The non-Electronics focused part of TED (TED Computer Networks, aka TED CN) has over 20 years of experience as a distributor and has total 19 sales offices in Japan- one in Tokyo and one in Osaka. In addition, TED CN has dedicated sales support resources for each distributed product and its own post-sales support organization.
TED CN is represented in America by Tokyo Electron US Holding’s Computer Network Business Section (TEH CN). TEH CN conducts technology research and serves as the primary interface to TED CN and its product marketing efforts. TEH CN is headquartered at Tokyo Electron America’s branch office in Santa Clara, California.
Our mission at TEH CN is to identify promising networking technology companies in America and leverage the comprehensive resources of TED CN to open up new opportunities in the Japanese market.
